Manerbio, 9 November – Following the second go round of
the IRHA/NRHA Open Futurity held at the Palasturla in Manerbio,
Italy, today, the composite scores determined the draw for Saturday
nights’ Open, Intermediate Open and Limited Open Futurity
Finals.

Cuoghi posted the highest score, a 220.5, in todays’ $112,000
added Open Futurity second go round. Leading in the $32,200 added
Intermediate division today with a score of 216.5 was Riccardo
Landi aboard Maria Bianca Bianchi’s Mb Hollywood Noir. In
the $5,600 added Limited division Ezio Rigoni posted a 214 for
the lead riding Luigi Parise’s Wimpys Lil Skeet.
Held
in a one go round and finals format, the Non Pro Futurity finalists
had already been determined following the competition held yesterday.
This evening the Non Pro Futurity Consolation classed allowed
six more horse and rider combinations to make their way to the
finals which will be held this coming Friday. In the $42,000 added
Non Pro division Giovanni Masi De Vargas riding Deelan and Manuel
Bonzano riding Ninja Rooster earned themselves a place in the
finals. The $21,000 added Intermediate Non Pro division added
Gloria Spiaggi and Tori Little Queen as well as Tullio Mascarello
riding Arc Please Honey Boy to the list. Spiaggi also qualified
for the $5,600 added Limited Non Pro division along with Michelangelo
Martinatto aboard Shining Dancer.
The IRHA Futurity is
approved by the NRHA and is open to three-year-old horses by stallions
subscribed to the Italian Reining Horse Breeder Association. During
the Futurity a full slate of NRHA ancillary classes as well as
the finals of the IRHA Championship will be offered.
